Scholarship & career profile

I am Francois Xavier Ndacyayisenga, a young Rwandan technology enthusiast known as Xavier. My journey in technology began with a curiosity about how computers, networks and connected devices can solve real problems in our communities.

Through my studies in Network and Internet Technology and practical training in embedded systems and IoT, I have built hands-on skills in web development, networking, systems administration and digital platforms. As Technology & Innovation Lead at Root Foundation and through my work with Root Arts Hub, I apply these skills to real organizational needs - from attendance systems and website development to digital promotion supporting youth and the creative industry.

My goal is to grow into a technology entrepreneur who builds practical digital solutions, creates opportunities for other young people, and contributes to Rwanda's innovation ecosystem. Further education and practical experience matter to me because they turn ideas into impact.

I want to solve real problems with technology — in my community and across Africa. My practical experience in web development, networking and IoT has shown me what I can already build, and where deeper academic knowledge will multiply my impact.

Formal education, combined with hands-on practice, is how I plan to move from executing tasks to designing systems and leading innovation ventures responsibly.

Deepen my technical skills through further training and real projects; contribute meaningfully to technology teams and innovation programs; and continue delivering practical digital solutions for community organizations.

Build technology ventures that solve real African problems, mentor young innovators, and combine entrepreneurship with community development and youth empowerment.
